Learning Outcome/Performance Criteria:
- Understand the derivative of a function at a point, and the derivative function.
- Find the derivative of a function at a point, using the limit definition.
- Find the equation of a tangent line to a curve at a point on the curve,using the limit definition.
- Determine the derivative of a function at a point from the graph of the function; compare the derivatives at two points, from the graph.
- Find the derivative of a function, using the limit definition.
- Match the graph of a function with the graph of its derivative; given the graph of a function, sketch the graph of its derivative.
