Chapter 1: Linear Functions

Learning Outcome: Graphing and interpreting linear equations, solving problems using linear function models.

Performance Criteria:
  1. Find the slope of a line from the equation of the line or two points on the line.
  2. Put the equation of a line in slope-intercept form, graph a line whose equation is in slope-intercept form.
  3. Find the equation of a line from two points on the line.
  4. Use a given linear function model to solve a problem.
  5. Determine a linear function model for a given situation.
  6. Determine whether a linear model is increasing, or decreasing (or neither).
  7. Give the units of the slope and intercept of a linear model.
  8. Interpret the slope and intercept of a linear model.
  9. Determine equilibrium quantity and price for supply and demand, break even point for revenue and cost.
