We acquired Sage as a stray dog when we lived in the desert of
southern New Mexico.There, and at our next home in western
Colorado, she was a desert dog, chasing jackrabbits and dodging
rattlesnakes. When we moved to Klamath Falls and began
backcountry skiing in the area, we found that the dense snow and
her fairly large paws were a combination well suited to travel in the
snow. The following pictures chronicle some of her ski adventures.
